The tea was picked in 2023 Spring. They used traditional Dian Hong (Yunnan Black) technique to make it, with some sun drying involved.
In final taste and character this black ( or red tea in Chinese ) is between the sun dried Shai Hong ( 曬太陽 ／ 晒太阳 ）and Dian Hong （ 滇红 ).
We like how the tea smoothly spreads in the whole body and calms you, arriving to a chilled state of mind.
Steamed gaiwan: caramel, autumn forest
Tastes, feelings: the brew has a rich texture, oily, full bodied. Honey and dried fruit, dried apricot notes with a long lasting aftertaste. The calming and warming effect comes quick through the whole body.
