Qing Xin (青心)jade oolong tea
herbal, elegant green notes, rich and long finish

Elevation:
1400 m
Region:
Taiwan, Shan Lin Xi (杉林溪)

Shan Lin Xi (杉林溪, pine forest) is a high-mountain green oolong from Nantou county, Taiwan.

This brand new vintage just arrived, it always amazes us with the buttery floral green-oolong character. Its' chaqi is sensible from the second sip, the calming  effect comes immediately.

Shan Lin Xi, with its altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, is amongst the highest tea-growing areas in Taiwan. The cooler temperature slows the growth of tea leaves thus resulting in smaller and more tender leaves. These leaves, similar to those of a gyokuro, are richer in both amino acids and caffeine.

Steamed gaiwan: milk, cream, sweet corn, florals, elegant notes
Tastes, feeling: 6g, steeped at 90 degrees for 30 seconds
Delicately elegant drink, long in the mouth. Green grape flavours and a very relaxed sensation. The third topping is the fullness. Floral notes and milky corn flavours come together harmoniously. Very silky, round and elegant tea.

Quantity: 5-6 grams per 150ml gaiwan.
Water temperature: 90-95ºC. From fresh spring water or filtered water.
Brewing time: 20-30…seconds
Infusions: 6-8
