Kind, springtime puer, with a refreshing taste that lies in between sweet and sour. Old trees’ (gushu, 古树) presence is perceptible, the tea is strong in chaqi (茶氣, tea energy).
Mengsong is one of the southernmost alpine tea-growing area, which, in contrast with many others puer areas, still preserves its natural environment. With its hardly passable roads and the lack of human intervention it seems as tough it was an arboretum.
Quantity: 5-6 gramm per 150 ml
Water temperature: 85ºC. From fresh, cold spring water or filtered water
Brewing time: 3-5-7…seconds
Infusions: 10-12
