Description

Thanks to the untouched nature, the endless forests, and the amazing views from the steep mountain peaks the Alishan region is famous worldwide. After a few years of experience with Taiwanese teas, we got a really nice oolong from Alishan this year. We’d like to introduce it now.

Our Alishan oolong was hand-picked between 2022.04.18.-23. on a tea garden 1400 meters above sea level. It got a 15-20% oxidation. Thanks to the Qing Xin (青心) – Greenheart tea species the nice flowery, complex notes dominate the whole dense infusion. In the bright yellow tea, there is a perfect combination of the greenish, buttery, biscuity, and slightly bitter flavors. Worth to compare with our other Taiwanese oolongs.

Tasting notes:
Steamed gaiwan: variation of flowers, rice pudding
Tastes, feeling: Typical Taiwanese oolong notes such as buttery, biscuity, and green flavors. A hint of cinnamon, shredded coconut, and a bit of sorrel. This is a well-balanced tea that brings a pleasant calmness.

Preparing Instructions:

Quantity: 5-6 grams per 150ml gaiwan.
Water temperature: 85-95ºC. From fresh spring water or filtered water.
Brewing time: 20…seconds
Infusions: 6-8
