Since 2016, every year, we have been inviting our customers and tea friends to be part of our Spring tea ordering and join our tea purchases. This time we offer a pre-sale option for these great Yunnan teas, until the 12th of March.
After some local ageing in Kunming, the teas have now arrived and after a short rest, they are ready to enrich our everyday life and our meditative moments. We truly believe that these teas are representing great value and depth.
For lovers of aged teas we recommend to buy whole cakes now and store them thoughtfully, so you can explore the fascinating aging process. With time, the storage enhances the tea’s flavor, developing deeper, more complex notes and unique aromas. Aging also influences the tea’s effects, subtly shifting its calming, refreshing, or even energizing properties.
Preorder information
The 2024 Yunnan preorder includes four special batches that beckon with their unique character and purity. The freshness of sheng puer, the elegant strength of wild sheng tea, and the depth of black tea all offer a different experience.
We are now offering an introductory price on our pre-sale teas when purchasing full cakes and larger packs. The following prices are net prices, your final price for the teas will be calculated in the cart only, according your shipping country VAT. Preorder prices are valid until the 12th of March, for whole cakes and larger batches. The teas will be shipped during the week of the 17th of March. Other teas ordered with the cakes will be shipped at the same time.

Background story
Every year we purchase one of our favorite sheng Puer teas from the Great Snow Mountain, Lincang, Yunnan province, China. Our producer takes great care in preparing pure, floral and uplifting puers. Like fine wines, puer teas can be enjoyed and aged for years, and even decade. In the first years, we love their freshness and green liveliness; as they mature, in the post-fermenting stage, the teas become rounder, deeper, softer. In China, it is very common to buy these teas for investment purposes and keep them even for 50 years. The old tea cakes are very high priced, so it is always a good idea to buy young teas and store, age them ourselves. A tea cake from the 1950s weighing 357 grams may cost more than 7000 USD. We have tasted such teas several times, and it was always a great experience.
Storage
Always keep the tea leaves separated from any strong odors. In the short term, they can be stored in tin or paper boxes, re-sealable pouches or glass jars. If you want to age Puer tea, the best is to buy whole cakes and store them in a relatively airy place with medium humidity, or at least air them several times a year if they are stored in an airtight container. With the order, we provide for each cake a resealable bag, which are ideal for storage.
