Hubei Mountain Black 2022 No.633
warming black tea
from wild grown bushes
delicate molasses, ember, peach notes
Elevation:
1000 m
Region:
Hubei province 湖北省 means “North from the river”
Description
Hubei Mountain Black is a Spring-harvest black tea from old bushes.
Our Hubei teas are all coming from an area, which has been deserted for decades. The bushes are living amongst the hills, far away from the cities. As a result, they have not seen any pesticides for the past few decades and so they are growing entirely naturally.
Tasting notes:
Bread, peanut, smoky notes. Sweet and slightly sour aftertaste reminiscent of the green ‘version’, as a characteristic of the old bushes. The later infusions get smoother. Peaches, lilies, orchids appear at the end.
Brewing at 80ºC opens up the palette, worth the try.
Preparing Instructions:
Quantity: 5-6 gramm per 150ml
Water temperature: 80ºC. From fresh spring, mineral water or filtered water
Brewing time: 10-15… seconds
