Description

Calming black tea from old bushes, which were planted in 1950 and hard pruned a few years ago. We got a nice summer harvested tea the previous year, but we found it better to mature for a year to get more complexity. In the smells, there are sour candies, citruses, and lime. It tastes like, tomato, sweet potato, citrus, and some molasses, and cocoa also. After a few steepings licorice, chocolate, and woody feeling come. The power of the almost seventy years old bushes clearly recognizable; our muscles relax, calmness and peace flood our bodies.

The hundred years old Georgian tea tradition came back to life again when Hannes and his friends established the Renegade Tea Estate. Almost hundred years old plantations, organic production, handpicking, and continuous experimenting between the amazing Georgian mountains. We’d like to introduce this tea from our co-managed garden. Truly happy teas are made in Georgia, which always makes us smile.
