Description

After the 2018 vintage, we’d like to introduce Mang Fei 2020 puer tea, it was picked near the village of Mangfei – 忙 肺, Lincang county, Yunnan. The tea garden is located on the Great Snow Mountain range (Da Xue Shan 大雪山). Our local tea-making friends drew our attention a few years ago to an acquaintance who farmed nearby, said to have a tea of high quality and purity similar to theirs.

In its style, it is similar to the teas in the area, a bit cooler, more fruity, fresh tea with a great aroma, depth, and taste. Despite the young age of this, we can detect some matured tastes also, sweet woodiness and ember beside the fresh flowery, fruity character. The energy (cha qi) permeates the whole body joyfully, calmness comes, and the feeling is perfect for friendly conversations, or book reading.

Tasting notes:
Steamed gaiwan: woodiness, sauna, ember
Tastes, feelings: Matured woody notes, sauna, ember with the typical fresh puer tastes, like mild flowers, fruits. The tannins and resin fill the mouth. The effect permeates the body, deepens breathing, it switches the man to observation mode. “It’s like I would have dropped in a fairy tale.”
