Description

Sai Hong (曬紅, sun-dried red) is a quality Chinese black tea, dried under the sun, mostly coming from Yunnan province, China. Due to its special drying method, the tea can be stored for a longer period of time than an average black tea; it also has a characteristic freshness. This Sai Hong is a pleasant, and  complex tea: its primal nutty, sweet-sour notes are is combined with a joyful, sunny fragrance; wood, straw and a hint of ember. It has a long, round aftertaste which is followed by an elegant and calm chaqi (茶氣, tea energy),

Mengsong is one of the southernmost tea-growing mountain area, which, in contrast with many others puer areas, still preserves its natural environment. With its hardly passable roads and the lack of human intervention it seems as tough it was an arboretum.
