Black tea made from leaves of a mixed-age plantation with many old trees. Harvested in April-May of 2020, mainly Assamica and cross-pollinated Sinensis subspecies.
The tea’s chi is soft yet dynamic. Tasting notes:
Steamed aroma: ripe tomatoes, sweet potatoes, baked beets, “Red Jade”, lavender, eucalyptus, herbal feel.
First, the flavors of cotton candy, chimney cake, unrefined cane sugar. At the 5th infusion, orange aftertaste and a tonic-like bitterness. This kind of bitter is due to the terroir. It can be an alternative to Earl Gray, we would say typical “afternoon tea”, served with a delicious butter cake.
Brew in a small pot, and serve at the end of a meal, excellent digestive.
