Jin Ya (金芽, golden tips) is a black tea made of buds form Fenqing area, Yunnan Province, China. The tiny, curly buds were plucked in early spring; during the processing from light green they turn to auburn.
It has a sweet, woody scent and pleasant bread-like, nutty flavour — a nice, round tea that fills the whole mouth. Besides the bud-teas’ delicacy it has a rather high caffein content that kindly cheers you up.
