Description
From the tea gardens of the highest village on Mount Phoenix (Guandong Province), from an altitude of 1,400 metres, comes this softly roasted, incredibly fragrant, deep and elegant dancong oolong.
The name dancong (单枞) originally referred to teas that came from a single tree and were not mixed with other leaves; nowadays it is generally used for Phoenix Mountain (凤凰山, Fenghuang) oolongs. The names of dancongs refer to a specific flavour/scent of a particular tree, as can be seen in this case.
Tasting notes:
Steamed fragrance: elderflower, ember
Tastes, feeling: Creamy, citrusy. Butter, sugar, vanilla, beautiful long fruity finish.
A subtly floral, creamy, elegantly uplifting tea.
Preparing Instructions:
Quantity: 5-6 gramm per 150ml.
Water temperature: 95ºC. From fresh spring water or filtered water.
Brewing time: 10-15…seconds
