Description

Along with the Nannuo tea-growing area, Mengsong is one of the oldest areas of Xishuangbanna where tea is produced. Because of its subtropical climate, mild yearly temperature and rich, fertile soil Mengsong has excellent conditions for tea cultivation.

Generally speaking, the autumn harvest puer teas are softer and have more mature taste then the ones produced during spring. We received this tea it in the state of ‘maocha’  (raw tea) which means that the tea is not pressed into a tea cake, thus remaining more gentle and tender. The leaves smell like wild flowers and fallen leaves of autumn, with a soft smoky feeling.  It has a long-lasting fruity aftertaste with notes of plum, peach and grape covering the whole mouth. When drinking this tea it feels like walking in the sunny forest after a light autumn rain.
