Description

Along with the Nannuo tea-growing area, Mengsong is one of the tea-growing areas of Xishuangbanna with the longest history. This area has excellent conditions for growing tea trees, becasue of it’s subtropical climate, mild yearly temperature and rich, fertile soil. Our tea comes from a totally natural, organic area: the tea trees are growing in forests, surrounded with other trees and plants. There are many thick, old tea trees there.

We got it in the state of mao cha or „rough tea”, not formed and pressed into a tea cake, so the tea remained more gentle and tender. The fragrance of the tea leaves is mellifluous, sweet, smokey, wild flowery and in the same time refreshing. The taste of the tea is tender, like a sunny meadow in springtime. With the brewings it becomes more fruity, mellifluous, with notes of pollens. It has a lasting floral finish and warming effect. This tea has a kind of deepness, regarding the cha qi.
