Description

Red Dancong is a unique tea because despite the fact that Phoenix dancongs are usually processed as oolongs, this time it was made to be a black tea. One can notice as the characteristics of a dancong tea appear besides the initial black notes. Its complex taste profile consists of notes of mild honey, grapes, and pulled figs. Its fragrance is a reminder of dark chocolate and vanilla. The Red Dancong is a refined and harmonious tea. With its medium caffeine content, it is suitable for friendly conversations or relaxed afternoon readings.

The well-known Phoenix Dancongs are famous for their impressive fragrance and long-lasting, round, creamy flavour. The term dancong (单枞) originally meant Phoenix teas, all picked from one tree. In recent times though it has become a generic term for all Phoenix Mountain (凤凰山, Fenghuang) Oolongs. In this case dancong͛ is used with its original meaning.
